Specialized Slip On Flanges Manufacturer, ASME B16.47 / ANSI B16.5 Slip On Flange Dimensions, SO Flange, SORF Flange, SOFF Flange.
A slip-on flanges are connected to the pipe or Pipe fittings by two fillet welds, one executed inside and outside the concavity of the flanges. The size of slip-on flanges is larger than the outside radius of the connecting pipes, as the steel pipe has to slide inside the flange to be connected by the prosecution of a fillet weld. Field experience shows that slip-on flanges tend to have a way shorter service life than weld neck flanges, under the same mechanical stress condition, due to the absence of a phased hub (which distributes the stress between the pipe and the flange equally) and the presence of two different welding areas, rather of one. Slip-On Flanges can be connected to pipes. Slip-on flanges are also defined as “ Hubbed flanges” and they’re easy to honor by their slim shape.
The considered strength from Industrial Slip-On flanges under internal pressure is two-thirds that of Weld Neck flanges, and their life under fatigue is about one-third of the last. generally, these flanges are of forged construction and are supplied with the hub. These Steel Flanges are fabricated from plates and not supplied with the hub. The disadvantage of the flange is that a combination of flange and elbow isn’t possible because named pipe fittings haven’t a straight end that completely slides in the Slip-On flanges.

How To Order Slip On Flanges?
Slip On Flange specification (example JIS, EN 1092-1, ASME B16.5, UNI, ASME B16.47 type A, DIN, etc.)
Nominal pipe size (NPS)
Slip On Flange rating (or class): flanges’ rating can range from 150 to 2500 for ASME flanges, from 5k to 30k for JIS B2220 flanges and KS1503 flanges; from PN6 till PN100 for Russian and European standard flanges (UNI, DIN, GOST 12821-80 / 12820, EN 1092-1); Class 1000/3, 600/3, 2500/3, 1600/3, 4000/3 for Standard SANS/SABS.
Facing Types of SO Flange (RF, FF; RTJ): as per ASME B16.5 standard, the RF is the standard facing for flanges (other facings, like FF or RTJ, have to be ordered specifically)
